Gloucester Celebration Corporation. (GCC), the organizer
of the Gloucester, Massachusetts 400th Anniversary Celebration is now accepting entries in its international commemorative medal design competition. The purpose of this competition is to identify and select a creative, artistic, and beautiful design for the commemorative medal that will mark this auspicious occasion and become a lasting reminder of Gloucester’s quadricentennial and city-wide celebration.

Gloucester Celebration Corporation. (GCC), the organizer of the Gloucester400™ Medal Design Competition, is holding
an international medal design competition to identify a creative, artistic, and beautiful design for a commemorative
medal to mark the 400th anniversary (from 1623 to 2023) of Gloucester, Massachusetts.


We will begin accepting design entries to Phase 1 on February 1, 2019.

Phase 1 application closes, August 31, 2019. We cannot accept late entries.

Anyone aged 18 years of age and older is eligible to enter.

Entrants do not have to be professional artists, but please take note that entrants will be required to 

submit a pair of plaster models at phase 2.  Every design entry must follow the entry procedures and design

specifications to be considered. The requirements for each Phase are different, so please read guidelines carefully.
There is no limit to the number of entries that can be submitted by the same person.
